September was a huge writing month for me. I am flying high on everything that happened this month.
- When the Door Is Blue with Short Edition.
I absolutely love working with Lane at Short Edition and am happy to have my second story placed with them. This is a five minute bittersweet read about the far-reaching affects of addiction.
- Green Man Dreams with Alban Lake’s ParABnormal.
Although this is my first publication with Alban Lake, it will not be my last. This is also my first speculative poetry acceptance. The poem was inspired by imagery common to DMT experiences.
- The Artist with Luna Station Quarterly.
This is the first short story that I took seriously with a view towards publication. I am happy with the supportive home it has found. It is a short that deals with the backstory for my world featured in Casual.
- My short story, “Church of the Five Saints” was accepted for an anthology, Catacombs: Martyrs of Earth and Elsewhere with a TBA release date.
Although I was short-listed for the James White Award, I did not win it. I am grateful for the experience of short-listing, and wish the winners the best of luck in their writing careers.
Today I am throwing my hat in the ring for Pitch Wars 2019 with my adult sci fi novel, Casual.
I have several short story submissions active and am always working on one or two shorts.
Perhaps most exciting, I am beginning work on my next novel with the working title Flow State.
